Pest Control Technician - Nampa / Treasure Valley
Position Overview
Barrier Pest Control is hiring a Pest Control Technician to serve homeowners throughout Nampa and the greater Treasure Valley.
This role combines field service, customer education, and sales. Technicians diagnose pest issues, perform treatments, and recommend protection plans that help families keep their homes pest-free year-round.
Service routes primarily focus on Nampa, while also supporting nearby communities such as Caldwell, Meridian, Middleton, Kuna, and west Boise. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and building strong relationships with customers in their local community.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
• Educate homeowners about pest activity, treatment options, and prevention strategies.
• Recommend seasonal pest protection services based on customer needs.
• Build trust with customers through clear communication and reliable service.
• Identify opportunities for ongoing pest protection plans while servicing your route.
Pest Control Service Duties
• Perform residential and commercial pest control services throughout Nampa and the surrounding Treasure Valley.
• Inspect homes and buildings for pest activity, entry points, and environmental conditions.
• Safely apply pest control materials using company equipment and protocols.
• Document treatments, products used, and service notes in the company CRM.
Team & Operations
• Coordinate daily service routes with the Barrier Pest Control operations team.
• Maintain a clean and organized company service vehicle.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification to maintain Idaho pest control licensing.
Qualifications
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work such as bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders
• Willingness to obtain Idaho pest control licensing (training provided)
Sales or pest control experience is helpful but not required.
